Question by Shelley O: How should I plan developmentally appropriate activities dealing with community for kindergarten students?
I am currently doing a homework assignment in which I have to come up with either a teacher-initiated theme or a child-initiated project and plan a week of developmentally appropriate activities from any curriculum area in kindergarten (science, social studies, music/movement, art, cooking, literature, etc). I decided to do mine on community so how should I go about planning them in which they are concrete and meaningful for children?

I didn’t understand how did you choose the area but don’t know the activity…
I would do literature because you have the chance to embrace lots of subjects at once…
Any way, try recycling
