Question by Silver: What needs to be done to enroll in kindergarten?
My oldest is going to start kindergarten in a few weeks, and I want to make sure I don’t miss anything that’s supposed to be done. I went to the school website & all I found was the school registration date, and that kindergartners need some certificate from their doctors (so I set up an appointment with his pediatrician).

Other than that, do I just walk into school with him on registration day? Am I supposed to take anything along with us, or have done anything else before that?

Thanks!

There are two basic requirements for kindergarten medical requirements and residency requirements. Your pediatrician will take care of the medical requirements. I assume this is a public school so you will need to prove that you live in the area which the school serves. You can take a lease, proof of ownership or the easiest thing that most schools accept are utility bills in your name with the address where you live on them.
